Spain: 6.6 magnitude earthquake strikes Mediterranean

Around 200 residents of the Spanish-controlled, African city of Melilla suffered damage to their property, Monday, after an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 struck the Mediterranean region between Morocco and Spain.
The 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck about 39 miles (63 km) north of the Moroccan city of Al-Hoceima and 20 miles (32 km) deep, at 05:22 local time (04:22 GMT) and was followed by several aftershocks reaching up to 5.3 on the richter scale.
The tremors and aftershocks were felt throughout the region including in the cities of Malaga, Cordoba, Seville and Granada.
