Germany: NPD rally against Merkel's refugee policies in Cottbus

Around 500 far-right protesters marched through Cottbus, Friday, demonstrating against Chancellor Angela Merkel's handling of the refugee crisis. The demonstration was organised by the far-right National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD). Chairwoman of the NPD Oderland branch Manuela Kokott held a speech, accusing the German government of being “traitors of the people” and of failure regarding the country’s refugee policy. Currently, the NPD has no seats in the Bundestag, one seat at the European Parliament and 5 representatives in one state regional parliament (Landtag of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern).
