Russian military helicopters conducted live-firing drills above Krasnodar Krai on Friday.
The training was held by an aviation regiment of the Southern Military District, deployed in Korenovsky district. Among the helicopters were the Mil Mi-28, also known as 'Havoc;' the Mil Mi-24, or 'Hind;' the Mil Mi-35, 'Crocodile;' and the Mil Mi-8AMTSh.
During the drills helicopter crews performed a number of combat takeoffs and landings, and also launched rockets mid-air. They also fired regular service weapons at ground targets, which simulated armoured vehicles of an imaginary enemy.
At total of about 20 military helicopters and over 100 flight and technical personnel took part in the training exercise.
