The world’s first consumer 3D 360 VR 4K camera was showcased at the Trade Show section of the SXSW 2017 festival in Austin, Texas, Tuesday. The camera, named Vuze, is the first to offer all these features for less than $1000.
In addition, as the Director of Sales at Human Eye Technologies Jeff Miller explained, "the beauty of the Vuze camera is that it's small, it's light weight and it's compact," which added to its price, it "allows any video enthusiast anywhere in the world to jump in the world of 3D, 360, VR capture. Vuze uses eight lenses set up in four stereo pairs.
The playback of the captured images can be viewed on the smartphone through an app and a view aid, such as Google cardboard, or a VR headset. The Vuze camera is set to start its pre-orders deliveries on Friday 17 for $800 in the United States.
