Russia: Hundreds march through Moscow in memory of WWII victims

Activists from youth movements joined veterans from the Second World War to take part in the 'Memory Watch', in Moscow, on Wednesday. The column of people marched through the Alexander Garden in the centre of the Russian capital in memory of the victims of the Second World War.
The march concluded by commemorating those who died in World War II; soldiers and attendees laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Walls.
Memorial events were organised across Russia on Wednesday, to mark the 75th anniversary of the Nazi attack on the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union suffered great losses in the war with a total of 27 million deaths, including 18 million civilians.
