When the anger rages within me,
or even in my sad shock,
there's one thing that keeps me sane,
and that's my bass when it rocks.
Four thick strings and these fingers,
how
playing these songs, sometimes singing along
lets me express when I'm upset.
I love this bass guitar,
it's tuning and my amp,
tremolo picking, that top string kicking,
playing loud enough to break my lamp.
So I'll keep this bass guitar
and all of it's accessories, too,
cause as long as it's there, I really don't care
about all the hurt life puts me through.
