Julian Assange's lawyer in Spain Aitor Martinez, was seen arriving at the High Court building in Madrid on Friday ahead of a scheduled videolink conference to provide testimony over his allegations of being illegally spied on by Spanish security company UC Global during his stay at the Ecuadorian Embassy.
Last September Spanish authorities issued a European Investigation Order requesting to question Assange over the ongoing investigation of the Spanish security company working for the Ecuadorian embassy in London and its owner, David Morales, for allegedly sending recordings of Assange to the CIA.
Assange is still fighting extradition to the US as he is held in London's high-security Belmarsh prison. Sixty doctors have reportedly expressed concerns about his health and are attempting to have him moved to a hospital.
