A kitten was found amongst the rubble in Amatrice on Monday, six days after a deadly 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck central Italy killing an estimated 284 people last Wednesday.
The kitten named Joy was saved by rescue workers from the ruins of her owners home and taken to a nearby veterinary centre.
The earthquake was felt across central Italy, including in the capital Rome, some 126 kilometers (76 miles) away from the quake's epicenter, in the town of Norcia.
