SCRIPT
The group 'El Chaparral' from Cuenca apologised after they participated in the Regional Parade of Campo de Criptana with a Holocaust theme, in Ciudad Real on Monday.
Footage shows members of the troupe dressed as Nazi officers with weapons and as concentration camp prisoners with Israeli flags. The parade also had a carriage representing a crematory oven.
One of the carriages had a text in which the group explained that they had made the decision on the subject "in memory of the six million Jewish men, women and children who perished in the Holocaust."
Israel's embassy in Spain condemned the "vile and disgusting depiction of the Holocaust" on its Twitter account.
According to reports, the group issued an apology to the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain after being contacted by the organisers.
