Musicians played MONAD Studio's 3D printed string instruments, including a violin, cello and guitar at the 3D Print Design Show in New York, Friday. Run by designers Eric Goldemberg and Veronica Zalcberg, the Miami-based studio is "focused on spatial perception related to rhythmic affect." They plan to showcase their prototypes around the world, including in Moscow, Beijing and Dubai. Their cutting-edge collection includes a two-string piezoelectric violin, cello, monobarasitar, small didgeridoo and a hornucopia (large didgeridoo). Located in NYC's Jacob Javits Centre, the 3D Print Design Show runs from April 16-17.
