The Pentagon released footage of a US cruise missile strike against a Syrian military airfield in Homs, Thursday. The missiles were fired from USS Porter and USS Ross, stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
A total of 59 tomahawk missiles were launched at Shayrat Airfield in Homs governorate, at 4:40 local time (02.40 CET).
In a press conference, U.S President Donald Trump confirmed that the strikes were in response to Tuesday's chemical attack in Idlib, for which he said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was responsible.
