Samsung announced the launch of two new mobile phones, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, at a press conference in New York on Thursday. According to Samsung chief strategist Justin Denison the phones have been equipped with “the latest and greatest camera and Samsung's pioneering technologies." Both come with a 5.7 inch (14.5cm) quad HD super AMOLED display and 4GB of RAM instead of just one or two, allowing customers to multitask even more. Samsung has also added a ‘live broadcast’ button in the camera app, allowing the user to stream 1080p high definition video. Attendees already had the opportunity to have a first peek at the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 after the press conference, but the public will have to wait until August 21 when the new phones go on sale.
