Hundreds of protesters marched through the streets of Luebeck to protest against the G7 foreign ministers meeting, Tuesday. The 'Stop G7' demonstrators, who consider the G7 to be undemocratic and illegitimate, were joined by members of the Blockupy movement that was founded in the wake of the Occupy Wall Street movement formed in the United States in 2011. Security throughout the city was tight, with city officials deploying 3500 police officers in the wake of possible riots and scuffles. Streets surrounding the venue hosting the G7 meeting were also cordoned off. The G7 meeting in Luebeck is a two-day summit hosting top diplomats from France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, the US, Canada and Germany. Topics on the agenda include the the Ukrainian conflict, the Iranian nuclear talks and the ongoing crisis in Yemen
