Former president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev called relations between Russian and Kazakhstan 'exemplary' during meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Nur-Sultan on Tuesday.
The Russian leader stressed his personal respect for Nazarbayev and expressed his hope that as honourary chairman, he would carry on developing relations between two states within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Putin arrived in Nur-Sultan to take part in a five-year anniversary meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
