Even as the FBI investigates Russia's bid to host the soccer championship, Kremlin officials reassured Russians that the country's preparations for the 2018 World Cup are on track.

To prove Russia's readiness, Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko and First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov toured the 45,000-person stadium and new airport being built to accommodate fans during the 2018 tournament. According to a Russian state news agency, Mutko said he doesn't see any Blatter's resignation won't jeopardize FIFA's decision to grant Russia hosting duties for the soccer championship.
